A life-long Alaskan, Dr. Williams pursued his educational goals always with the desire of returning to Anchorage – the town he grew up in and practicing as an Alaska prosthodontist.
After Dimond High School, Dr. Williams attended University of Alaska, Montana State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the College of Great Falls (Sum Cum Laude). He went on to attend Graduate School for Microbiology at Montana State University.
Dr. Williams had an interest in dentistry and after a stint with Fish and Wildlife, he enrolled in University Pacific Dental School: graduating 4th of 135 students. During that time he mentored with a Prosthodontist Professor: doing lab work on complex dental cases and he loved the challenge.
Continuing his education, Dr. Williams graduated from University of North Carolina with a Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1983. After finishing a Cleft Palate Fellowship he returned here to Anchorage where he has been practicing since 1983.
Through the years Dr. Williams has done extensive continuing education. He has lectured for the American Dental Association and has been a continuing education instructor for Alaska in the fields of: Implants, Cosmetics, Full mouth reconstruction, and TMJ/TMD disease and treatment.
Dr. Williams continues to enjoy dentistry and feels rewarded with the relationships forged with his patients as well as fellow dental professionals.
When Dr. Williams is not practicing as an Alaska prosthodontist at his dental office in Anchorage, he is all about having fun with his family and friends. Dr. Williams and his wife Karen have 6 children and are very hands-on with their 6 granddaughters.
He and his family enjoy sailing, fishing, and biking. If you see a group of tandem bikes – he and his wife are probably in the lead!
