Expanded Function Dental Assistant
Eileen was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Manor Junior College with an Associate of Science Degree in 1982. The program was a certified and licensed program specializing in Expanded Duties Dental Assisting. Over her 37-plus-year career, she has attended a variety of continuing education courses; staying updated with the best dentistry has to offer. She moved to Alaska in 1991 for what she thought would be a year or so adventure and has lived here ever since!
Eileen enjoys cooking and fermenting! At any given time, she is the caregiver of Sourdough, Kombucha, Sauerkraut, Kimchi, and possibly pickles! In 2017, she won the blue ribbon for her Sourdough bread as well as grand champion of the yeast division at the Alaska State Fair! In 2018 – her pineapple ginger Kombucha also won a blue ribbon. She enjoys gathering with friends and visits from family to share and appreciate Alaska’s beauty. Her pup Nina and Sailor-kitty fill her home time with lots of love and humor.
Eileen would say the best part of her chosen career is the friendships she has forged with her patients as well as her co-workers and creating an environment whereby people feel they are in good hands.
