After we receive the custom veneers from the lab, you will return for your second appointment. Before applying the veneer, our dentist will clean the tooth again and lightly buff the surface of it to ensure the veneer adheres appropriately. Then, they will use an adhesive and place the veneer onto the tooth. The dentist will carefully press down on the veneer to ensure it adheres to your tooth. After the procedure, no additional steps are required, but your dentist may advise you to reduce your coffee intake and avoid staining foods or beverages for the first few days. With proper care, porcelain veneers can last more than twenty years.
